2nd Line Engineer - 6-month contract
James Frank AssociatesOur client, a leading MSP is seeking a 2nd Line Engineer to join them on a full-time, contract basis for an initial period of 6 months.
Due to an exciting period of growth our client is looking to expand their team of Engineers, and are looking for a 2nd Line Engineer to join them, where you will be responsible for providing a high level of technical support to a broad range of clients, working on daily tickets whilst working with the wider team of Engineers, working on both day-to-day support tasks and project work.
Due to the location of the office candidates are required to have access to their own vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve daily tickets from clients, supporting on software troubleshooting as well as installs and updates, as well as hardware faults
- Attend client sites when required to fix onsite faults and hardware issues
- Provide a high level of technical support to clients as well as maintaining a high level of customer service at all times
- Work on a mixture of dayto-day support and project work
- Act as the goto for any questions or queries from other Engineers
Key Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar IT-related role
- MSP experience is advantageous, although not essential
- Used to providing a high level of technical support to a range of clients
- Windows Server 2012 – 2022
- Windows Desktop 7/11
- Office 365 knowledge
- Networking ability – DNS / Routing / Switching
- VMware
- Azure
- Active Directory
