You will lead development and sustainment efforts related to the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) and missile, with a focus on missile structures and flight sciences analyses.You will provide comprehensive oversight of prime contractor design/product assurance activities across all program lifecycle phases, development through deployment and disposal, ensuring compliance with contractual and systems engineering criteria.You will influence, lead, monitor, and approve contractor design and product quality assurance efforts in satisfying contractualrequirements for various subsystems.You will monitor hardware sustainment, evaluate environmental and aging effects, oversee configuration management compliance, and direct the investigation and corrective action for discrepant or non-conforming hardware.You will implement program policy, engineering criteria, and provide information to the prime contractor and Navy field activities.You will represent the command in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), laboratories, and consultants.You will uphold technical rigor as relates to flight science disciplines, modern development approaches, and production disciplines, to include, but not limited to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.You will perform engineering analyses for proposed design changes, and collaborate with key stakeholders to approve/disapprove changes as the change authority
