We're looking for a driven Business Affairs Manager to join our anti-agency agency. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned business affairs professional with deep advertising and marketing expertise who is passionate about delivering exceptional work across every channel and platform. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the creative process from brief to market, exceptional judgment and decision-making skills, and the ability to navigate complex business, legal, and talent-related matters in a fast-paced environment.
You'll be part of the Copper Giants team while partnering closely with Liberty Mutual Corporate Legal, Advertising, Procurement, and our external advertising agency. Success in this role will come from your ability to build strong relationships, negotiate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and provide strategic guidance that helps bring impactful creative work to life.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Review all advertising content and provide expert guidance related to intellectual property matters, marketplace risk, and legal concerns as they relate to creative materials.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for SAG-AFTRA and the Joint Policy Committee (JPC), leveraging extensive knowledge of SAG-AFTRA Commercials contracts and union requirements.
- Oversee and manage talent strategy across campaigns and agencies, including negotiating talent agreements, tracking talent costs and projections, and proactively communicating relevant updates. Experience working with overscale talent is highly valued.
- Monitor the evolving AI production landscape and advise on internal policies governing AI-generated content, applying a strong understanding of Generative AI production and associated intellectual property implications.
- Partner closely with producers, creatives, business stakeholders, and external agency teams throughout the creative development and production process.
- Manage licensing, usage rights, and renewals for creative assets, including music, stock photography, video, imagery, and other licensed content, while maintaining talent and asset tracking systems.
