About You
You are a highly motivated professional ready to drive our B2B growth. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at building face-to-face relationships, and possess a strong background in financial services or payment technology.
You are comfortable acting as an ambassador for Tide, introducing SMEs to our core products including business current accounts, card payment terminals, and business insurance solutions. You are prepared for a dynamic, 12-month fixed-term contract role requiring a 5-day-per-week commitment split between our office and the field, seamlessly balancing active business development with internal team collaboration to share market insights and plan outreach strategies.
What You’ll Be Doing
1) Business Development & Growth
- Act as the face of Tide by executing targeted sales strategies and prospecting new SME clients.
- Build partnerships and close business to build a robust pipeline across your designated territory.
- Own the full sales cycle from initial field contact through to closing and onboarding, ensuring a seamless experience for new members.
2) Product Pitching & Partnership Development
- Confidently demonstrate and sell Tide’s core product suite, specifically focusing on business current accounts, commercial insurance, funding options, and card terminal solutions.
- Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with local business hubs, accountants, and SME networks to drive referrals and scale customer acquisition.
3) Office Collaboration & Event Networking
- Maintain a full-time, 5-day-a-week schedule operating across the field and the office.
- Align with the wider sales team, optimize pitch strategies, report on market intelligence, and manage the administrative aspects of the sales cycle.
- Actively represent Tide at industry events, trade shows, business exhibitions, and local networking sessions to build brand awareness and generate high-quality leads.
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:
- Have a demonstrable track record in B2B business development and active field sales, ideally within a fast-paced startup or fintech environment.
- Possess direct industry expertise selling business current accounts, commercial insurance, or working within the card terminal and payments sector.
- Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to confidently pitch to business owners, negotiate deals, and present to large groups.
- Have a strong background in identifying, securing, and nurturing B2B partnerships and referral networks.
