ABOUT THE TEAM:
You will work closely with the Company Secretariat team, and other internal stakeholders to help keep the organisation compliant with applicable corporate laws, internal governance requirements and filing deadlines. This role offers broad exposure to routine secretarial work as well as support on governance projects, entity management and stakeholder coordination.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is an entry-level company secretarial role designed for a candidate who is keen to build a career in corporate governance and compliance, based in India. You will assist with day-to-day secretarial matters, maintain records, support meetings and filings, and help ensure that company actions are properly documented and tracked in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing agendas, board packs, attendance records and supporting materials for board and committee meetings.
- Support the drafting of minutes, extracts, written resolutions and post-meeting actions.
- Help to maintain statutory registers, corporate records, governance calendars and entity information in an organized manner.
- Help prepare and file forms, returns and other documents. Track compliance deadlines and follow up with internal stakeholders to ensure timely submissions and approvals.
- Assist with annual filing requirements, approvals and routine secretarial documentation.
- Coordinate signature processes, notarization, apostille or certification requirements as needed.
- Work with finance, HR and legal teams to collate KYC, ownership, authorization and supporting documents for banks, auditors, regulators and vendors.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Qualified Company Secretary, completed all CS exams and some or all of the required training - no further post‑qualification experience is required
- Basic understanding of the Companies Act, 2013 and MCA filing requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Willingness to learn, ask questions and work in a fast-paced environment.
- It would be an added advantage to have prior exposure to board support, secretarial software, equity platforms or multi-entity compliance work (although not required).
