An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Analyst looking to broaden their responsibilities into relationship management within a well-established international banking environment.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in real estate and corporate lending who enjoys combining in-depth credit analysis with client interaction and deal execution. Working closely with senior Relationship Managers, you will play a key role in supporting new business, managing existing client relationships, and driving high-quality credit decisions.
The RoleYou'll support a diverse portfolio of corporate and real estate clients, providing detailed credit analysis while helping to develop and strengthen long-term banking relationships. As your experience grows, you'll also manage a portfolio of your own clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed credit assessments for new lending opportunities and annual portfolio reviews.
- Analysing financial statements, cash flows, business performance and industry trends.
- Supporting Relationship Managers with client origination, account planning and relationship development.
- Attending client meetings and working directly with customers to obtain financial information.
- Preparing internal credit papers, executive summaries and credit rating assessments.
- Monitoring loan documentation, covenant compliance and ongoing portfolio performance.
- Supporting KYC reviews and working closely with Middle Office to ensure smooth execution.
- Liaising with Credit, Risk, Compliance, Operations and other internal stakeholders throughout the lending lifecycle.
- Working collaboratively across international teams to support cross-border client relationships.
- Ensuring all activities are conducted in line with internal policies, regulatory requirements and risk standards.
We're looking for an ambitious banking professional who enjoys analytical work but also wants to build lasting client relationships.
You'll ideally have:
- 3-4+ years' experience in Credit Analysis within Corporate Banking.
- Strong exposure to real estate finance and corporate lending .
- Experience preparing credit papers and presenting lending recommendations.
- Solid understanding of credit risk, lending structures and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of treasury and wholesale banking products.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical ability with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with internal stakeholders across Credit, Risk, Compliance and Operations.
- Knowledge of UK AML and Financial Crime regulations would be advantageous.
