(Must report to a CBP Facility) Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.In this position, you will serve as an expert analyst and advisor to senior management, with a primary function of applying an in-depth knowledge of computer theory, algorithms, data structures, programming concepts and languages, and computer architecture, to support business lines. This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10). GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. Majorduties include: Designs, develops, and oversees the implementation of advanced data classification, coding, storage, and retrieval systems, ensuring optimal data integrity, security, accessibility, and interoperability across the agency. Designs, executes, and interprets complex simulations, optimization models, and predictive analytics to provide critical insights and directly inform high-level agency decision-making policy formulation. Advises and develops innovative strategies on measurement of the design, development, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of large-scale projects to analyze programmatic data and forecast the effects of alternative courses of actions and programmatic gaps. Provides expert guidance, advanced mentorship, and comprehensive on-the-job training to junior data scientists, analysts, and other professionals, significantly contributing to the development of the agency's analytical capabilities.
