Position Description

United isseekingan energetic and self-startingearly careerprofessional with strong analytical abilities and excellent communications skills, both oral and writtenandwith interest and experience in policy advocacy to join our wholesale electricity markets team. This person willsupport United’s engagement in theMISO and SPPregions. The Policy Principal will work with other United team members to execute multi-year strategies and campaigns designed to transform wholesale electricity markets to support the U.S. transition to 100% clean energy.

This work will focus on the wholesale market and changing the rules governing how theMISO and SPPwholesale electricity markets operate to support the growth of clean energy resources and the retirement of aging incumbent technologies, and on expanding competitive wholesale electricity markets to areas where they do not currently exist.
