ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Secretary of the Navy Offices (SECNAV)This vacancy announcement may be used to fill positions at various Department of the Navy Commands, including but not limited to the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command.You will execute in-house electrical engineering design work products and services within specified milestones and quality standards.You will perform all aspects of electrical engineering design for a wide variety of installation shore facility types.You will lead multi-disciplinary in-house (IH) design teams, executing IH projects as well as overseeing design efforts accomplished via Architectural/Engineering (A/E) firms.You will coordinate the electrical engineering design with the engineering disciplines for Design-Bid-Build (DBB) and Design-Build (DB) projects to ensure overall compatibility and efficiency of the site and building design.You will conduct site investigation field trips to project sites, as required, to collect all pertinent data and refine or develop project scope by inspection of existing conditions and through meetings with the sponsoring and using activities.You will perform technical management and oversight on execution of multi-disciplinary design projects whether accomplished by IH or A/E forces.You will provide technical guidance to A/E firms regarding criteria application and unique Department of Defense (DoD) functionalrequirements.
