The United States Space Force (USSF) at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Spring, CO is searching for an Engineering Manager to support the MD4 SNP (NH-0855-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent). Description: The MD4/4STS, Overhead Persistent Infared Sustainment Squadron, is seeking an Electronics Engineer to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate significant and complex projects in the Sustainment of Satellites, Command and Control, and Data Processing Systems which represent critical segments of major operating programs. Performs electronics engineering work involved in the management of the sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, and support equipment. Functions as the organization's technical specialist in leading a team to develop a system's performancerequirements, objectives, integration, and testing. Provides estimation of time and resources needed for a project's system design, development, and support phases. Performs complex and comprehensive analysis and uses systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to implement, develop, and document projects. Serves as a consultant and technical expert to senior subject matter specialists and/or agency officials responsible for broad program operations. Ideal Candidate: Engineering experience with Computer Hardware/Software and Networking, Satellites and/or Command & Control (C2) systems. Proficient in the application of electronics, mechanical, aerospace, astronautical, or other engineering disciplines. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and independently as a self-starter. Capability to direct and lead technical teams to drive to common goal. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conceive and define solutions to complex problems. Strong knowledge of engineering theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods. Effective communication skills are essential for communicating with diverse groups of stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited institution. Knowledge, Skill & Abilities: 1. Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services. 2. Knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment. 3. Knowledge of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices. 4.
