Please Note: There will be no change in your salary during the timeframe of this training opportunity.You will perform assigned portions of a major overhaul project under the cognizance of a senior graded Mechanical Engineer.You will coordinate one or more of the various Engineering processes applying a wide range of engineering theories, concepts, principles, standards, and methods.You will review engineering and production work to ensure that allrequirements and safety concerns are met.You will coordinate, monitor, review, and integrate the efforts of engineers, consultants, quality control inspectors, mechanics and others who develop and implement work sequences and procedures.You will be required to conduct an engineering capstone research and design project or similar professional engineering work as designated by the Supervisor and endorsed by the Chief Engineer (Code 240).
