Finance & Banking Lawyer

Axiom is seeking experienced Banking & Finance Lawyers to support leading financial services and corporate clients across a broad range of financing, lending, and structured transaction matters. These roles will involve advising on commercial lending, secured finance, asset finance and leasing transactions, while partnering closely with business, risk, and operational stakeholders in fast-paced in-house environments. Ideal candidates will bring strong technical expertise, commercial judgment, and the ability to operate independently across complex financing and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of financing documentation, including loan agreements, security documents, leasing arrangements, intercreditor agreements, and asset finance documentation.
• Advise clients on secured lending, syndicated lending, structured finance, asset-based financing, and equipment leasing transactions across a variety of industries.
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders, investment teams, compliance, risk, and external counsel to support transaction execution and ongoing financing activities.
• Provide legal guidance on regulatory and compliance matters, including AML/KYC obligations, capital management considerations, and broader banking and financial services regulatory frameworks.
• Support portfolio management, amendments, restructurings, and other strategic financing initiatives while delivering practical, commercially focused legal advice.

Requirements:

• 8+ years’ PQE with strong experience in banking & finance, commercial lending, structured finance, asset finance, or secured transactions.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating financing and security documentation in a law firm or in-house environment.
• Strong understanding of lending structures, collateral arrangements, and financial services regulatory considerations.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in dynamic commercial environments.
