What role will you play?
You will develop a scalable analytics platform and applications that support Commodities trading and risk activities. Working closely with traders, quantitative specialists and senior technology stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, helping to improve how users interact with risk metrics and market data. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to delivery and ongoing enhancement, while applying software engineering best practices and supporting the adoption of strategic technologies. In a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your work, influence technical direction and deliver solutions that create measurable business impact.
What you offer
- Strong software engineering experience with Python and a passion for building scalable, high-quality applications
- Experience working with SQL databases and a solid understanding of software development best practices, including continuous integration and DevOps principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technology and business teams
- Experience with AWS, NoSQL databases, Linux or Unix environments, C++, and exposure to financial markets or risk management concepts is beneficial but not essential
