You will independently plan, direct, and complete complex engineering and leadership assignments, applying advanced technical knowledge to improve existing systems, develop new capabilities, and resolve challenging program issues.You will manage the engineering workforce structure, oversee hiring and employee development activities, coordinateeducation and certification opportunities, and ensure staffing priorities support organizational goals and mission success.You will collaborate with engineers, scientists, information technology specialists, contractors, and customer representatives to coordinate technical initiatives, resolve critical issues, and represent programs at meetings and professional forums.You will oversee budgets for workforce training, recruitment, travel, and related activities, while strengthening partnerships with technical leaders and organizations to advance engineering programs and improve operational performance.You will establish performance expectations, evaluate employee contributions, provide coaching and corrective guidance, address workplace concerns, approve leave requests, and ensure staff members follow required safety practices and policies.You will develop briefings, presentations, and reports that communicate program plans, progress, accomplishments, and challenges, providing senior leaders with clear information to support technical decisions.
