At Spellbinders Paper Arts, we design innovative products that help makers around the world create handmade cards, scrapbook pages, mixed media projects, and more. Our products are sold on Spellbinders.com and through hundreds of retailers worldwide, and we're looking for a talented designer to help bring our products to life.
What You'll Do
As a Graphic Designer & Production Artist, you'll be at the heart of the creative process—transforming concepts, sketches, and ideas into polished vector artwork, product designs, packaging, and marketing materials. Working alongside our Creative Director and talented design team, you'll ensure every detail is production-ready while maintaining the creativity and personality that make Spellbinders products special.
Your Responsibilities
Transform sketches, concepts, and creative direction into detailed vector illustrations and production-ready artwork.
Create and prepare product artwork, packaging, instruction sheets, and marketing materials for print and digital use.
Collaborate with the Creative Director, designers, and project managers to bring products from concept to launch.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas that support our brand and product goals.
Ensure all artwork meets production specifications while maintaining exceptional quality and accuracy.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
Stay current with design trends, illustration styles, and production techniques.
What You Bring
We're looking for someone who enjoys both creativity and precision—someone who loves making artwork look amazing while ensuring every file is technically flawless.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Adobe Illustrator.
Strong vector illustration and production art skills.
Ability to adapt to a variety of artistic styles, including modern, vintage, whimsical, cute, elegant, and traditional.
Solid understanding of typography, color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy.
Experience preparing print-ready artwork and digital assets.
Familiarity with project management platforms such as Basecamp.
