ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a seasoned insurance leader to head our Insurance vertical at Tide. As the National Head – Insurance, you’ll be responsible for building and scaling our insurance distribution across Health, Life, and Affinity products.
You’ll lead the strategic development of the business, forge strong partnerships with insurers and brokers, and build a high-performing team across field sales, tele-sales, and agency networks. This is a leadership role that combines deep market knowledge, relationship management, and team-building capabilities.
What you’ll be doing
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute Tide’s insurance distribution strategy across Health, Life, and Affinity categories.
- Partnership Development: Build and nurture relationships with insurance providers and brokers to co-create innovative, SME-focused products.
- Network Expansion: Establish and grow a national agency and partner network to drive insurance distribution across geographies.
- Sales Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage high-performing field and tele-sales teams to deliver consistent growth.
- Product Development: Collaborate with partners and internal teams to design and launch differentiated insurance offerings for Tide members.
- Operational Excellence: Develop scalable processes, compliance frameworks, and performance tracking systems to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Member Engagement teams to ensure seamless integration of insurance offerings into the Tide ecosystem.
- Market Insights: Monitor industry trends, competitor movements, and regulatory changes to keep Tide’s insurance strategy agile and compliant.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 15+ years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry, with a focus on distribution, partnerships, or bancassurance.
- Proven success in building and scaling sales networks (field, tele, and agency).Strong relationships with leading insurers and brokers in India.
- Deep understanding of insurance products, pricing structures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams across geographies with strategic clarity and operational discipline.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-growing fintech environment.<
