The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. Defines site objectives by envisioning system features and functionality. Arranges projectrequirements in programming sequence by analyzing user'srequirements; prepares a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic. Designs and develops user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determines design methodologies and tool sets; and completes programming using languages and software products. Confirms program operation by conducting test; modifies program sequence and/or codes as necessary. Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives. Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studies and establishes connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers. Creates multimedia applications by using authoring tools. Completes applications development by coordinatingrequirements, schedules, and activities; by contributing to team meetings; and by troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
