Joint ActivitiesAbout the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Cyber Command in Fort Meade, Maryland.Administers and maintains assigned mission systems and network hardware and software systems.Leads planning, coordination, and installation of applications, software, and hardware for mission and network systems.Leads efforts to isolate, evaluate, and correct complex or unusual problems involving interface and interoperability of system components, such as hardware, systems software, and applications programs.Develops proposals to enhance operational use of systems hardware and software and keeps abreast of technological advances to ensure continued optimum service.Conducts business process re-engineering studies to optimize systems administration strategies and processes.Serves as an C4 IT subject matter expert to management.Conducts audits of IT system development to ensure applicable laws and regulations are complied with, all necessary controls are in place, and systems operate as intended and provide all necessary capabilities.
