This position is in Deputy Assistant Secretary for Information and Technology (VA). Apply Now!Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities across agency systems. Manage and maintain antivirus, endpoint firewall, device control, and endpoint detection and response tools. Conduct regular security reviews, assessments, and audits of production and development systems. Document, escalate, and assist in the remediation of identified security incidents and risks. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current cybersecurity best practices, standards, and regulatory compliancerequirements. Support configuration, hardening, and maintenance of Linux operating systems and core infrastructure. Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement secure solutions and improve security posture. Prepare and deliver reports and recommendations to leadership on security operations and findings. Provide technical guidance and training to staff on cybersecurity policies, procedures, and tools. Participate in the development and enforcement of organizational cybersecurity policies and procedures. This is a Non-Bargaining Unit Position. Working Conditions: The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions.
