This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Chief Information Officer, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) you will use your knowledge of and experience with OCIO to optimize business results and customer experience by: Participating in management planning, policy development, and decision-making regarding legislative, technological, and regulatory changes Evaluating program impacts; reviewing recommendations for compatibility with organizational mission and objectives Developing cybersecurity standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures; interprets legal and regulatoryrequirements Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems, networks, and data by planning, developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing information security policies, procedures, and tools across the enterprise while integrating projects and resources with strategic mission objectives Working with the Compliance Management Team to develop and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation Providing authoritative advice and technical leadership to senior officials on cybersecurity programs and initiatives
