The National Visa Center stores and collects personally identifiable information of millions of U .S. and foreign citizens.Conducts assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs.Assesses breaches of security to determine their impact on system operations and the confidentiality, integrity, and reliability of the information stored and manipulated within the system.Develops, promotes and implements programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures.Assists the Departmental Office of Inspector General and law enforcement organizations of all jurisdictions by facilitating the gathering, analysis, and preservation of evidence used in the prosecution of computer crimes.Develops policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
