A successful candidate in the IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/SYSANALYSIS) position will serve as an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/SYSANALYSIS) performing duties associated with the Systems Administration (SYSADMIN) and Systems Analysis (SYSANALYSIS) IT specialty areas.About the Position - Portland This position is located in Portland, OR which boasts huge spans of amazing trees, foliage, landscape, and everywhere you look you can appreciate beautiful greenery! There is always something new to experience in this eco-friendly town As an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/SYSANALYSIS), you will: Lead/conduct studies designed to identify potential improvements in the way information technology is applied to key business functions. Assess new systems design methodologies to improve software quality. Review the impact of new systems design policies on the systems design process. Plan and coordinate BPA-wide implementation of process improvement methods and concepts to improve the quality of software products. Develop and standardize systems design methods. Plan and conduct simulations to determine capacityrequirements and recommend hardware/software replacements or upgrades to meet current and futurerequirements. Generate and run simulation models for future applications. Develop and implements migration strategies. Develop and present plans for integrating new server technology into existing architecture. Plan and coordinate the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of enterprise management software and related enterprise-level changes to the systems infrastructure. Exercise overall responsibility for the continuing functionality of all servers in the enterprise LAN. Develop BPA-wide procedures for responding to new threats to systems confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
