This position is in the U.S. Department ofEducation (ED), Federal Student Aid (FSA), Technology Directorate (TD). The Technology Directorate provides information technology services for all FSA systems, promoting the effective and secure use of technology to achieve FSA's strategic objectives through sound planning, investments, integrated technology architectures and standards, effective systems development, production support, and cybersecurity services.This is an open continuous announcement with cutoff dates. As an IT Specialist (System Analysis) "Product Manager", GS-2210-15, you will be responsible for: Leading the definition and evolution of FSA products by understanding the needs of students, families, and stakeholders, translating insights into prioritized product roadmaps, and ensuring product decisions improve access to aid and simplify the user experience. Serving as the bridge between policy goals, technical systems, and user needs by translating complex constraints into actionablerequirements and ensuring solutions meet compliance and security standards while delivering user-friendly experiences at national scale. Directing and aligning contractors and partner agencies to support the product vision, holding vendors accountable for outcomes, and fostering collaboration across engineering, design, policy, and operations teams to deliver a coherent, high-quality FSA experience. Connecting day-to-day work to the mission of expanding educational opportunity, fostering a product culture centered on experimentation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement, and providing vision that aligns government staff and vendors around shared goals for students and families.
