Here’s how you make a difference:
- Contribute to an ambitious initiative to enhance our backend infrastructure, while improving the system architecture and performance through higher modularisation and reusability.
- Build new features for our products while also taking ownership of existing code and its maintenance.
- Depending on your interests, have a direct impact on the customer journey by improving our business insurance advisory application, or go deep on our business logic to determine quotes and manage our product data.
- Be involved and show interest in all team decisions, including our technology stack and ways of working.
- Share your knowledge with the tech team while also learning from other team members.
- Ideally, with support from the frontend team, make small changes in our React and Next.js-based frontend application when needed.
What you’ll bring:
You don’t need to tick every box below – we’re hiring for fundamentals and curiosity, not a finished CV. Graduates and career-changers are welcome to apply.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A problem-solving mindset and curiosity to dig into technical and business-logic questions, with guidance from more senior team members.
- Enjoying and feeling confident working with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Sharing our values when it comes to code quality – validating through tests is part of it.
- Product-oriented, user-centered thinking and the drive to build something great.
- Good understanding of APIs – ideally GraphQL.
- A growth mindset and a willingness to take on new challenges, contribute ideas, and continuously improve both individually and as part of a Team.
- Bonus: basic exposure to Kubernetes and AWS – we rely on both for deployments, but you don’t need this to start.
