
LEAD GENERAL ENGINEER
Naval Sea Systems CommandYou will serve as the
LEAD GENERAL ENGINEER
for Life Cycle Maintenance Division of the Carrier Planning Activity (CPA), DPAE Aircraft Carriers of
CARRIER PLANNING ACTIVITY.
You will be the Lead Life Cycle Engineer developing and refining the Class Maintenance Plan (CMP) and associated maintenance strategies to maintain Aircraft Carrier material readiness at the level necessary to support Fleet operationalrequirements throughout the 50-year expected service life.You will perform a wide range of data analytics, statistical methods, and predictive modeling to extract insights from maintenance data with a focus on improving the Incremental Maintenance Plan (IMP).You will lead other engineers and analysts to identify, distributing and balancing workload tasks in the execution of assigned duties, resolution of problems and meeting objectives.You will lead Life Cycle Analysts and Engineers and oversee the performance of contractors by providing assessments to the supervisor of the team’s collective strengths and weaknesses and provide training and mentorship to address shortfalls.You will liaise with outside organizations and coordinate with cross-functional teams to align maintenance analytics initiatives with organizational objectives.You will lead special projects and study groups to develop unique innovative solutions to improve carrier life cycle management.You will solicit, receive and evaluate feedback from assigned aircraft carrier projects to ensure continuous improvements of aircraft carrier maintenance and life cycle mgt programs, special projects, costs, and delivery and performance of service.You will develop and execute strategic plans for leveraging data analytics to enhance maintenance life cycle management.You will prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinate the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information.You will validate and refine the aircraft carrier maintenance plan and update maintenance strategies to incorporate new technologies, changes in operationrequirements, or changes in executabilityrequirements.
