About the team:
The Member Engagement Marketing (MEM) Copy team sits within our UK/Europe Marketing function, with a focus on producing content for our current Tide members. We work especially closely with our colleagues in CRM to develop engaging copy for campaigns which cover Tide’s full suite of products and features. We’re a 7-person team which includes local writers for our German and French markets, too. Come join us!
As a Midweight Copywriter, you’ll be:
- Understanding what a good brief looks like and answering it with high-quality English copy that drives product engagement
- Jargon busting! Turning technical information into simple, compelling messaging and content
- Creative copywriting across multiple formats, primarily email and mobile notifications, but also blog posts and landing pages
- Passionate about customer experience, with a focus on delivering the best, most engaging content for SMEs
- Reviewing, amending and approving existing content, including the work of other writers. You’ll be a source of support and guidance for other writers both in the team and around the business
- Collaborating with multiple teams, including our copy community, to deliver Tide’s overarching strategy
- Confident in communicating with various stakeholders to provide updates on projects
- Working with a stellar content team who have a proven track record of delivering excellent copy
What makes you a great fit:
- Excellent communication and copywriting skills. As this is a midweight role, we’d expect you’ve been in a copy or content writing role for around 2 years
- Strong proofreading and editing skills in the English language: you’re known for your attention to detail and impeccable spelling and grammar
- You’re passionate about problem-solving and suggesting new initiatives to improve ways of working
- You’re knowledgeable about the SME sector, including UK industry trends and competition
- You’re self-assured, driven, able to make decisions and take responsibility for them
- You have experience of working with a Style Guide or Tone of Voice guide and understand why this is important
- You have experience of working with a CRM team as stakeholders or colleagues
- You have excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
- You have experience with Jira and Confluence. Experience with Contentful or any CMS tools is also a nice to have
- You have experience in finance, a start-up or fast-growing company
- You have a copywriting portfolio - please share this alongside your application
