We're looking for a talented Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering Team at West Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same, and where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on safety, reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement.
Working Pattern
This role operates on a rotating 3-shift pattern:
- Days: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 14:30
- Afternoons: Monday to Friday, 14:30 - 22:00
- Nights: Monday to Thursday, 22:00 - 07:00
Flexibility to support business and operational requirements is essential.

What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Minimising downtime and improving equipment reliability
- Supporting installation, commissioning and modification of machinery
- Working closely with production teams to maximise performance
- Contributing to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Supporting a safe working environment through high engineering standards and best practice.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an enthusiastic engineer with strong fault-finding skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience within manufacturing or production environments
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
- A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
It would be great if you also have experience of:
- FMCG, packaging or automated manufacturing environments
- Welding and fabrication
- CMMS systems such as SAP
- Continuous improvement and reliability-focused maintenance practices.
