Veterans Health AdministrationThe Radiology Service Chief provides executive leadership and oversight for all aspects of Radiology Service, including clinical operations,education, research, and administrative functions.The Chief ensures delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient diagnostic and interventional imaging services to veterans. Ensures full compliance with all Veterans Health Administration (VHA) directives, handbooks, and national radiology programrequirements.Duties include, but are not limited to: Ensures adherence to VHA imaging standards, modality protocols, radiation safety rules, and accreditation standards. Coordinates with the National Radiology Program Office (NRPO) on national initiatives, reporting, and clinical practice updates. Supports VA-wide quality, patient safety, and High Reliability Organization (HRO) programs. Implements VHA strategic initiatives including modernization efforts and enterprise imaging technologies. Ensures compliance with VHA peer review, quality management, and adverse event reportingrequirements. Collaborates with VISN leadership to support workload sharing and imaging optimization efforts. Ensures participation in VHA readiness, emergency response, and continuity of operations planning. Direct and coordinate all Radiology Service activities, develop and implement policies, manage budget and resources, ensure compliance with VHA directives, and oversee credentialing and privileging. Maintain standards for diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures, ensure timely interpretation and reporting, and monitor quality metrics and patient safety. Support graduate medicaleducation programs, promote continuingeducation, and facilitate research activities. Chair or participate in QA and Peer Review committees, implement performance improvement initiatives. Serve as liaison between Radiology Service and other departments, represent Radiology Service on facility and VISN committees. Reports to the Chief of Staff and collaborates with Associate Chief of Radiology, Chief Technologist, Health Systems Specialist, and other section leaders.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
