⭐Our PR team
If you love driving ambitious PR strategies, have experience doing this in Spain as well as other European markets and are passionate about what Monzo is doing, this could be the role for you! We're looking for an experienced PR professional to join our team as a PR and Communications Manager for Expansion Markets to help us bring Monzo to more people in more places.
You’ll be excited by the opportunity to work across different areas of communications, delivering PR activities and campaigns spanning B2B, corporate and consumer audiences. This role will work closely with many teams across the business including marketing, product and engineering. You’ll have strong experience reaching an SME and consumer audience and managing day-to-day activities as part of a busy press office. Implementing activity that supports business goals, showcasing the best of Monzo in other markets will be key. You'll need to be an exceptional communicator and a strong collaborator with the ability to multitask.
This role is for a planner and doer, who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty and approach projects in a collaborative manner. You will have the ability to create proactive PR stories through creative ideas that resonate with the Monzo audience.
🔑You’ll play a key role by…
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the PR press office in Spain and other markets across Europe. This will include BAU activity and bigger campaigns.
- Working with the team to execute our go-to-market PR strategy for Monzo in future European markets.
- Working on the PR activity for both Monzo Business and consumer product launches, shaping how we communicate our value and impact.
- Having a deep understanding of how to scale and localise campaigns across multiple markets.
- Managing reactive media inbounds as well as any crisis situations should they arise.
- Driving high-impact PR and reputation-building campaigns in Spain and other expansion markets.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with product, commercial, and operations teams to uncover and amplify compelling PR opportunities.
- Building strong relationships with key media and journalists, while managing incoming press enquiries.
- Using data and insights to inform and adapt stories in our international expansion efforts.
- Supporting relationships with external PR agencies.
- Staying ahead of industry and relevant policy trends and developments to inform strategy and maintain thought leadership.
