JOB SUMMARY
The Pricing Specialist plays a critical role in providing administrative support for retail pricing, report development, and analysis. This position involves preparing deal sheets and doing a competitive analysis for retail items, maintaining data integrity within the server, which serves as the master file for Associated Food Stores. Assisting in tasks contributing to the growth of the program. The Pricing Specialist will also engage in clerical tasks and retail support while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and retail store team members through effective communication via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative pricing support to retail teams.
- Communication: Convey important pricing information through various communication channels, including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Inquiries and Direction: Respond to inquiries from team members and leaders regarding pricing, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Consultation: Advise retailers on pricing issues, gross margins, and available pricing options.
- Pricing Structure Development: Assist in defining and refining the pricing structure for retail stores.
- Market Research: Research, develop, and maintain pricing zones to optimize pricing strategies.
- Educational Materials: Develop and communicate educational resources, presentations, and materials for the management team and retail stores.
