As well as personal and business bank accounts, we offer joint accounts, accounts for 16-17 year olds, a free kids account and credit cards in the UK, with more exciting things to come beyond. Our UK customers can also save, invest and combine their pensions with us.
With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customers!

Flex is one of Monzo’s fastest-growing and most commercially significant products. Four years ago, we reinvented the credit card experience—building something simpler, more transparent, and genuinely useful. Today, over a million customers use Flex.
We’re looking for a Product Director to lead Flex into its next phase of growth.
This is a high-impact, deeply commercial role at the intersection of product and credit. You’ll define how we scale borrowing responsibly, expand into new segments, and continue building products customers genuinely love.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Credit, Data, Design, and senior leadership to identify new opportunities, optimise performance across complex segments, and deliver at pace.
What you’ll be working on…
Set the strategy for Flex
- Set direction for one of Monzo’s most important revenue-driving products
- Identify and unlock new commercial opportunities across customer segments
- Navigate complex trade-offs between growth, risk, and customer outcomes
Drive commercial performance
- Work closely with Credit teams to shape propositions across multiple risk segments and cohorts
- Interrogate performance deeply — from unit economics to long-term profitability curves
- Identify and drive new commercial opportunities
Champion the customer
- Ensure Flex remains rooted in strong customer outcomes, not just revenue
- Push for simple, transparent, and delightful experiences
- Advocate for customer experience alongside commercial outcomes
Build and lead a high-performing team
- Manage and develop a team of Product Managers
- Deliver multiple high-impact initiatives through your direct reports
- Raise the bar on product thinking and foster a culture of high standard and high velocity
🌟 What We’re Looking For
Commercial Thinking
- Strong commercial instinct — you think in terms of trade-offs, economics, and outcomes
- Comfortable operating in complex environments (e.g. multiple segments and cohorts with different commercials)
- Able to engage deeply with Credit and Data partners
- Experience in lending, credit cards, or adjacent borrowing products
Consumer Focus
- You start with the customer never lose track of their needs
- You’re willing to challenge revenue-d
