Product Manager - Public and Private Markets - Major Pension Fund - First Specialist Hire - CassonX
eFinancialCareersCassonX are delighted to be recruiting for Pension Fund manager who’s assets have grown significantly in recent times and now boasting tens of $billions in asset under management. There is consequently a huge amount of “good” change taking place in their firm, including new responsibilities for ACS, AIFM, and MiFiD. As they need to review their existing products, implement new products and support all client needs, the CIO and COO has decided to hire their first Product specialist, to work in partnership with the incoming Head of Change. There is a lot of things happening in this company, and with the role will directly work with the CIO / COO and supporting their needs, we are very excited to be the only agency that will be showcasing this greenfield opportunity.
It goes without saying that CassonX are looking to identify someone who can hit the ground running, demonstrating a solid understanding of fund structures and investment products including their operating models, and identify someone who can be a developer, reviewer and implementer of products, specifically around Public and Private Markets (note there is no LDI or high-risk investments). As they embark on more responsible investments, our client is considering a few options:
- Someone who has experience of being a leader of a similar Product function in a pooled assets, allocating, or asset management type business, and would be excited to be part of the exciting journey and build out this Product function.
- Someone who is a #2, showcases plenty of relevant Product experience in a pooled assets, allocating, or asset management type business, and would like to use this opportunity as a way to enhance their career with a promotion.
- Someone who can demonstrate wide/extensive Product and Product change experience in a pooled assets, allocating, or asset management type business, and specifically looking for this type or role, which conglomerates your experience.
- Anything that is similar to the above
You’ll be working for a charismatic and experienced COO in the Pooled Funds space, who enjoys employing confident and passionate people, who likes to be given autonomy to deliver with plenty of “head room” to grow your career and responsibility. You must have exceptional senior stakeholder management experience, and with many initiatives taking place in the business, an ability to streamline and convince others to work towards your goals timely. As this role does not exist currently, you will be experienced enough to help define what the processes, controls and how the function will look and operate. This will also involve supporting all FCA Governance/Compliance requirements as all existing Products and new Products go to launch, creating clearcut Product roadmaps to achieve this. You will get exposure to ExCo level and executive product governance committees.
More details are available to those who submit a CV demonstrating relevant buyside Product experience. Please see all our roles at www.cassonx.com
CassonX Limited are committed to providing fair employment opportunities to all applicants. We encourage anyone to apply, regardless of their background, and promote a fair and inclusive recruitment process based on merit. If you require any assistance throughout the interview process to improve your experience, kindly let us know.
