Your new role
As Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality across finished machines and sub-assemblies. Working closely with the Quality leadership team, you will be responsible for inspection, reporting and quality control processes to ensure high standards are consistently achieved.Key responsibilities
- Carry out final run and testing of machines
- Lead and contribute to PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) report-out meetings
- Complete PDI reports and associated documentation
- Conduct internal audits and routine inspections of fabricated components
- Identify, investigate and address quality concerns on a daily basis
- Control and issue serial plates for completed machines
- Escalate ongoing or recurring quality issues where required
- Maintain and update dispatch records, including engine numbers and serial data
- Support quality investigations and continuous improvement activities
- Liaise with suppliers and customers, including supporting site visits when required
What you'll need to succeed
- Basic IT/computer skills
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Good awareness of health & safety practices
- Ability to produce clear and accurate written reports
Desirable:
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Knowledge of heavy machinery or similar products
- Continuous improvement experience
- Electrical and/or hydraulic knowledge
