Joint ActivitiesAbout the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Activities, Directorate of Security, Fort Bragg, NC.Serves as a Security Specialist responsible for performing a full range of tasks relating to the planning, development, management and direction of all aspects of the organization security program (Information, Personnel, Physical and Industrial).Develops guidance and provides assistance regarding physical security. Monitors planned physical modifications, direct changes in physical layouts as necessary in order to give final approval for all Secret Open Storage Areas.Administers policies and procedures governing the personnel security program.Processes security clearance investigations request in accordance with DoD Directives and Regulations of the military branches concerning the personnel security program.Develops procedures regarding classification procedures to include marking, downgrading and declassifying, handling, storing, and transmitting of classified material; resolves questions and problems concerning the same.Analyses security needs and prepares educational materials to provide the most current information on all areas of security.
