We are currently seeking an Senior Enterprise Architect (Insurance Industry) specialist to join one of our clients' teams from Berlin. Tasks
Responsibilities:
- You will define the target end-to-end architecture together with prospective insurance customers and guide them from the initial technical analysis through to the signed solution agreement.
- You will present architectural concepts and technical roadmaps convincingly to C-level stakeholders (CTOs, CIOs, CDOs) and act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner for both technical and business decision-makers.
- You will drive technical transformation within the Customer Delivery organization by standardizing architectural practices, introducing modern cloud and SaaS patterns, and enabling delivery teams.
- You will serve as a mentor and technical anchor for Solution Architects and Customer Delivery Managers throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- You will document architectural decisions, requirements, and technical concepts, ensuring long-term knowledge sharing and retention within the Customer Delivery organization.
- You will be responsible for technical communication with all stakeholders—both internal and external—keeping everyone consistently informed and aligned.
Requirements
- At least 8–10 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect, including several years in the insurance industry or a consulting environment focused on insurance.
- Fluent, business-level communication skills in German (C2/native level) and English (C1 or higher), both written and spoken, are mandatory. French is considered a plus. You are comfortable participating in German- and English-speaking C-level discussions and can influence decision-makers as an equal.
- Deep understanding of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP), SaaS delivery models, and modern integration patterns (REST APIs, event-driven architectures, microservices).
- Proven ability to build strong and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels—from developers to executive board members.
- A hands-on mindset: even when working strategically, you remain attentive to technical details.
- Experience with APIs, BPMN, SaaS platforms, AWS technologies, requirements engineering, and the insurance domain is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and ArchiMate, as well as cloud or architecture certifications, is beneficial.
