Senior IT Systems Engineer
LendableAbout Lendable
Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We're building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:
One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 700 people
Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK
Profitable since 2017
Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs
Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)
So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.
We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.
Join us if you want to
Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1
Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo
Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting
About the role
We’re looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our team.
This is a hands-on senior role for someone who enjoys scripting, AI automation, systems integration, and network support. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems and integrations that are secure, scalable, and fit for purpose across the organisation.
You’ll bring strong technical depth across core business systems such as Google Workspace, Mobile Device Management (MDM), identity and access management, and emerging AI and automation tooling. You’ll act as a senior point of contact for IT, helping to improve how we manage access, devices, and operational workflows while ensuring our environment remains reliable, effective, and aligned with best practice.
As a key member of the team, you’ll work closely with IT Support, Platform Engineering, and InfoSec to keep our systems running smoothly and to deliver improvements that raise the bar on automation, security, and user experience. We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical judgment with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset, and who can collaborate effectively, prioritise well, and solve complex problems with confidence.
What you’ll be doing
Lead the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of core IT systems including identity and access management, device management, network services, and secure external partner solutions, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and secure.
Architect, build and maintain scripts, automations, and integrations between SaaS platforms and internal services to reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency, and create a better end-user experience.
Support InfoSec and compliance across the IT estate by contributing to incident response, resolving complex technical issues, and partnering on systems, access, and infrastructure improvement projects.
Ability to produce and maintain clear technical documentation, runbooks, and operational guides so systems are supportable, repeatable, and easy to manage at scale.
Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver high-quality technical implementations, drive improvements, and ensure solutions meet
