Senior Product Manager, SQL & Sheets Growth
DatadogDatadog SQL (DDSQL) and Sheets are two of the newest products in Graphing (Datadog's most-used product area). Both have early traction and strong conviction behind them, but neither has reached its full audience yet. This role owns both products and has one primary job: figure out what drives their growth, and make it happen.
That means understanding who uses these products today, who should be using them but isn't, and what's standing in the way. You'll own the end-to-end adoption funnel, and you'll have the latitude to pull whatever levers are needed: improving onboarding, bringing in new data sources, redesigning discovery, expanding where and how these products surface across Datadog, or building entirely new capabilities.
As you develop a deep understanding of what makes these products grow, you'll also be expected to identify new bets for the broader Graphing suite. The person closest to how users adopt and get value from analytical tools is in the best position to see what's missing: new products, new personas, new use cases that Datadog isn't serving today.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
What you'll do:
- Own DDSQL and Sheets end to end: roadmap, adoption, and growth strategy
- Define and execute the strategy for bringing third-party data into Datadog: from market research and use-case definition through pricing
- Understand and improve the adoption funnel for both products: instrument key flows, analyze where users activate or drop off, run experiments, and ship product changes that measurably grow usage
- Expand Datadog SQL from a standalone editor into a platform-wide query capability on all graphs
- Identify and pitch net-new investment areas — adjacent products, new personas, or expansion opportunities — that grow Graphing's footprint beyond its current scope
- Redesign how users discover and get started with Graphing products: rethink list pages, build onboarding flows, and create entry points that don't assume prior Datadog expertise
- Identify and pitch net-new investment areas for the Graphing suite: new products, new personas, or new capabilities that emerge from what you learn scaling DDSQL and Sheets
Who you are:
- You're comfortable with 0→1 and expansion work at the same time, and can context-switch between market research, UI definition, and deep backend collaboration
