Job Description
Experian is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to test and maintain core enterprise systems while providing technical leadership across distributed teams in the United States and India. You will blend manual and automated test creation with operational ownership, helping engineering teams deliver secure, reliable, and scalable software. You will report to the QA Manager.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop automated test harnesses and libraries for UI/API
- You will create test scripts from smoke, regression, and functional test plans
- Ensure that tests function well across all supported browsers and platforms
- Integrate test scripts with frameworks such as Jenkins/Travis CI
- You will manage inbound test requests, estimating time needed and working with other team members to set priorities
- Communicate test results and highlight any potential quality risks
- Assist other software engineers in writing tests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the field.
- 5+ years of experience in testing software and maintaining test automation
- Coding experience with .Net, Java and querying on SQL.
- Looking for candidate with strong UI automation along with solid API experience. This skill set would enable effective end-to-end support for projects.
- Experience developing automation frameworks with Ruby/Java/Python/Selenium with SQL/PostgreSQL
- Experience with RESTful API development or testing
- Experienced working both independently and on several teams
- Knowledge of Unix, SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, and source control Git/TFS/SVN
- Demonstrated skill in testing Enterprise applications
- Experience integrating test harnesses and test results into continuous integration and build environments
- Familiarity with iOS or Android development is beneficial
- Experience with Jmeter/Soasta/Load Runner performance test tool is also is beneficial
- MS in Computer Science or technology-related is beneficial
