
Senior Quality Inspector

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer looking for a Senior Quality Inspector to play a key role in ensuring products consistently meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed first-off, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured components.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection plans.
- Use a variety of precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMMs (where applicable), and other inspection tools.
- Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Approve or reject products based on inspection results and quality criteria.
- Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
- Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and company quality systems.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality concerns quickly and effectively.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior inspectors and production staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Monitor non-conformance trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained in accordance with company procedures.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the business.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quality Inspector or experienced Quality Inspector within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques and quality management systems.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Excellent understanding of measuring equipment and inspection methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to make sound quality decisions.
- Confidence working under pressure and meeting production deadlines.
