We're recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer looking for a Senior Quality Inspector to play a key role in ensuring products consistently meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed first-off, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured components.
  • Ensure products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection plans.
  • Use a variety of precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMMs (where applicable), and other inspection tools.
  • Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Approve or reject products based on inspection results and quality criteria.
  • Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and company quality systems.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality concerns quickly and effectively.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior inspectors and production staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Monitor non-conformance trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained in accordance with company procedures.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the business.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quality Inspector or experienced Quality Inspector within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques and quality management systems.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Excellent understanding of measuring equipment and inspection methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to make sound quality decisions.
  • Confidence working under pressure and meeting production deadlines.
