The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying high-performance, scalable web applications that are critical to Okta's success. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, large-scale systems, contribute to core backend services, and potentially explore integrations with AI technologies. A specific focus for this role will be contributing to the development and evolution of Compass, our internal data and knowledge platform.

What you will be doing

Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications and features using React on the frontend and Java on the backend.
Lead the development of backend services and APIs, ensuring high performance, stability, and scalability.
Drive key features and improvements within Compass, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for internal users.
Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality software.
Contribute to setting technical direction and best practices for the team.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and operational support.
Good to have: Integrate and optimize AI-assisted coding tools within the existing development pipeline to streamline developer experience and enhance engineering efficiency.
