Veterans Health AdministrationThe Supervisory Industrial Engineer-Manager of the Strength Analysis Team is a member of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Workforce Strategy and Standardization (WSS) management team,within Workforce Solutions (WS) in the Office of Workforce Management and Consulting (WMC). The incumbent is part of a team that functions as the VHA authority and subject matter expert on simulation and forecasting models and standards that assess position allocation and demand in support of the VHA missionThe Supervisory Industrial Engineer - Manager is responsible for defining, developing, and analyzing datarequirements that inform current and future VHA needs. While the term "manpower" refers to a function, VHA has made a conscious decision to replace it with the term "strength". MajorDuties Include: Serving as an advisor to program areas on all forecasting and modeling activities, and data collectionrequirements, processes, and analysis. Managing enterprise-level initiatives undertaken to plan, engineer, and implement staffing models, standards, and forecast manpowerrequirements in support of the mission. Conducting workload validation studies using statistical models and other resources. Developing and using data tools, techniques, and processes to define and assess statistical modeling and/or analysis, complex reports, and graphical presentations using data visualization tools, or other work products or information. Conducting enterprise-wide analytics to determine resourcerequirements that lead to drafting action plans, resolving critical staffing issues for organizations, and coordinating the demonstration of new and/or enhanced policies and applications. Providing comprehensive businessrequirements analysis and management for enterprise-level initiatives undertaken to plan, engineer, and implement staffing models, standards, and other tools to optimize, simulate and forecast manpowerrequirements in support of the mission. Analyzing and interpreting broad policies to assess organizational impact and coordinating with other organizations to monitor progress and evaluate outcomes. Monitoring and evaluating development and implementation of policies and procedures. Coaching employees in job duties and programrequirements. Preparing performance standards, evaluating performance, and initiating performance counseling as needed.Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.Compressed/Flexible: AvailableVirtual: This position may be authorized for Virtual Work. Virtual Work eligibility is for current VA employees that are already subject to the return-to-in-person work mandate in their current position. Definition of Virtual Work: Employee works outside of original hiring duty station at a VA-owned or leased space. Return to Office (RTO): RTO mandates are in effect and selectees will be required to report to in-person work unless they are approved for an exception or an exemption. Any approval for an RTO exception, exemption, or extension will happen
