Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (Network Services / Security)

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Cyber Protection Brigade in Fort Gordon, GA.Serve as an Operations Officer/Planner and Supervisor on a U.S. Army Cyber Protection Team (CPT) as part of the U.S. Army Cyber Protection Brigade (CPB).Provide expert advice and counsel to the Team Lead, Soldiers and civilian employees on a variety of subjects to include technical experience, training, and civilian administrative matters.Work with the Team Lead in establishing team and mission priorities based on Operational Control (OPCON)and Administrative Control (ADCON) direction and mission assignment.Attend meetings and working groups, which requires routine and recurring access to Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) materials, equipment, facilities and programs.Act as a first-line supervisor, providing technical and administrative supervision to the team members assigned to their respective Cyber Protection Teams.Supervise subordinates who hunt, clear, enable hardening, and continually assess operations as well as Cyber Threat Emulation (CTE) and Discovery and Counter-Infiltration (D and CI) capabilities.
