
Supervisory Security Specialist
Washington Headquarters ServicesThis position is located in Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Security Enterprise Services Directorate (SESD), Integrated Security Operations Division (ISOD), and is a direct report to the ISOD Division Chief. The primary duties are to manage the operations of a Support Services Branch (SSB) in ISOD. The incumbent serves as a SSB, Supervisory Security Specialist and is responsible for supervising a branch of security specialists performing a broad range of security functions.Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Supervises the Support Services Branch (SSB), directing a diverse team of civilian and contractor security specialists responsible for highly complex collateral security functions across multiple security disciplines. Performs full-spectrum supervisory personnel management, including assigning workloads based on complexity and employee capability, developing performance plans, conducting ratings, executing disciplinary measures, and directing hiring and workforce development efforts. Manages the organization's comprehensive security program, ensuring strict compliance with DoW and ODNI policies governing personnel, information, physical, and technical security, including the proper safeguarding, transmission, and authorized destruction of classified material. Oversees the Personnel Security Program and databases (e.g., DISS and Scattered Castles), managing access control, executing security indoctrinations and termination briefings, investigating unauthorized disclosures, and validating/processing DD Form 254s for cleared contractors. Serves as a senior security authority and focal point for investigative matters, providing objective, risk-based situational awareness, countermeasure recommendations, and strategic briefings to senior leadership to assure mission protection and enterprise-wide success. Leads strategic planning and process improvement initiatives by implementing automation, streamlining security workflows, and representing the organization in high-level working groups and conferences across the Security and Intelligence Communities.
