Lorien's leading banking client is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join a collaborative delivery team supporting the development and enhancement of digital and technology solutions within a fast-paced banking environment. Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, you will ensure business requirements are translated into clear, actionable deliverables while supporting delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is ideal for a Business Analyst with a solid technical understanding who is comfortable working alongside developers, architects and product teams, without needing to be hands-on technically.
This role is based in Edinburg OR London.
This role will be Via Umbrella.
Working in a Hybrid Model of 2 days a week on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders to capture, analyse and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into high-quality user stories, use cases and functional requirements.
- Support delivery squads by answering queries relating to user stories, acceptance criteria and business requirements.
- Identify and analyse data gaps, working with technical teams to define appropriate solutions.
- Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with business and technology stakeholders.
- Ensure requirements are complete, traceable and aligned to business objectives.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA and Solution Architects throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Assist with backlog refinement, prioritisation and sprint planning activities.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations.
- Produce clear documentation including process flows, business rules and functional specifications.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Agile delivery environments.
- Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and use cases.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Experience identifying data gaps and analysing data requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Good understanding of system integration and software delivery lifecycles.
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience within High Street Banking.
- Experience working on digital transformation or customer-facing banking platforms.
- Knowledge of retail banking products and customer journeys.
