Working with highly regulated organisations, they help customers modernise onboarding, strengthen compliance processes and combat increasingly sophisticated fraud threats through a market-leading SaaS platform.
Having established a strong customer base across multiple international markets, the business is now investing significantly in its UK growth strategy and is seeking an experienced commercial leader to drive the next phase of expansion.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Sales Director to lead and scale the UK commercial operation for a high-growth technology business operating at the intersection of digital identity, compliance and financial crime prevention.
As identity fraud, synthetic identities and AI-enabled attacks continue to evolve, organisations are increasingly investing in technologies that improve trust, security and customer onboarding experiences. This role will place you at the forefront of that transformation.
Working directly with the founders and executive leadership team, you will define the UK growth strategy, personally lead key enterprise opportunities and build a high-performing commercial function.
This role offers genuine leadership responsibility from day one, with the opportunity to shape the UK business and progress into broader regional leadership as the organisation scales.
The Role
As Sales Director, you will take ownership of the UK go-to-market strategy, revenue growth and commercial execution.
You will initially focus on winning strategic enterprise accounts while establishing the foundations for long-term growth through team development, partnerships and scalable sales processes.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Define and execute the UK go-to-market strategy.
- Identify and prioritise target sectors and customer segments.
- Develop and deliver revenue growth plans aligned to company objectives.
- Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of enterprise opportunities.
- Personally lead and close strategic, high-value opportunities.
- Engage senior stakeholders across compliance, fraud, risk, operations and technology functions.
- Navigate complex procurement and regulatory buying processes.
- Build trusted relationships with executive-level decision-makers.
- Establish the company's position within the UK technology and compliance ecosystem.
- Develop strategic partnerships that accelerate market penetration and revenue growth.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and industry trends.
- Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing UK commercial team.
- Implement scalable sales processes, forecasting and performance management.
- Create a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop future sales leaders within the business.
Essential
- Proven experience in a Sales Director, Enterprise Sales Director, Commercial Director or similar leadership role.
- Strong track record of delivering revenue growth and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience selling enterprise software or SaaS solutions into regulated industries.
- Demonstrable success closing complex, high-value enterprise deals.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders and C-suite decision-makers.
- Ability to build and scale commercial functions within a high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of consultative and value-based sales methodologies.
- Existing network across UK financial services, fintech, payments, insurance, gaming or other regulated sectors.
- Experience selling digital identity, fraud prevention, RegTech, FinCrime, compliance, onboarding or security-related technologies.
- Knowledge of customer onboarding, identity verification, anti-money laundering, sanctions screening, fraud detection or digital trust ecosystems.
- Experience working with solutions involving biometric authentication, document verification, liveness detection, KYB, customer due diligence or workflow orchestration platforms.
- Strong understanding of emerging fraud threats including deepfakes, synthetic identities and AI-enabled financial crime.
- Familiarity with UK regulatory and compliance frameworks impacting customer onboarding and financial crime prevention.
- Experience building or scaling a new territory, region, market or commercial function within a high-growth technology business.
- Established relationships with senior stakeholders across Compliance, Financial Crime, Risk, Fraud, Operations, Customer Experience or Digital Transformation functions.
