Gritter Francona is looking for a Voice Actor that is responsible for providing professional voice performances for animated educational videos supporting the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) National Center for PTSD. The Voice Actor delivers narration and character dialogue that effectively communicates evidence-based information about trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), effective treatments, and co-occurring conditions in a manner that is engaging, compassionate, and accessible to diverse audiences.
Working collaboratively with project managers, video producers, scriptwriters, subject matter experts (SMEs), directors, and Government stakeholders, the Voice Actor interprets approved scripts to produce clear, authentic, and emotionally appropriate performances that support the National Center for PTSD's mission of increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging treatment engagement. All performances must reflect a serious yet hopeful tone and demonstrate sensitivity to individuals who have experienced trauma.
Key Responsibilities

All performances must reflect a serious yet hopeful tone and demonstrate sensitivity to individuals who have experienced trauma.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform narration and character voice recordings for animated educational videos and related multimedia products
- Interpret approved scripts to communicate complex behavioral health and clinical information in a clear, natural, and engaging manner
- Deliver voice performances that accurately reflect the intended tone, pacing, and emotional context of educational materials while maintaining scientific credibility and professionalism
- Adapt vocal style, pacing, and delivery to meet the needs of diverse audiences, including Veterans, trauma survivors, caregivers, healthcare providers, and the general public
- Collaborate with project managers, video producers, directors, scriptwriters, subject matter experts (SMEs), and Government stakeholders during recording sessions to achieve project objectives
- Participate in recording sessions, rehearsals, retakes, and revisions as required to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Pronounce medical, clinical, and technical terminology accurately and consistently throughout recordings
- Follow production direction regarding pacing, emphasis, pronunciation, timing, and emotional delivery to support animation synchronization and educational messaging
- Maintain professionalism during studio and remote recording sessions while meeting established production schedules and deadlines
- Ensure all performances are respectful, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and appropriate for individuals with a broad range of traumatic experiences
- Support quality assurance activities by reviewing recordings and participating in revisions when necessary to achieve final Government approval
- High school diploma or equivalent
