
Assistant Director, Data Science: Renter's Portfolio

The US Property & Specialty Product Design and Modeling team is looking for a sharp, driven Assistant Director to shape the future of pricing for our Renters portfolio. You'll sit at the intersection of advanced data science, business strategy, and cross-functional leadership— building models that directly drive profitable growth.
Reporting to the Specialty Senior Director, you'll collaborate closely with teams across US Data Science, Product Management, Delivery, and IT. You'll have real ownership over high-stakes pricing programs and the visibility to influence decisions at the senior level.
**Candidates who live within 50 miles of Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Seattle, WA; Columbus, OH; or Plano, TX will follow a hybrid schedule, coming into the office two days per week. Otherwise, this role is remote with occasional travel. **

What You'll Do
- Own the pricing roadmap: Develop industry-leading pricing programs in close collaboration with the Product team that unlocks segmented, profitable growth opportunities across the Renters Portfolio.
- Drive program rollouts: Lead end-to-end deployment of pricing programs — including model adjustments for regulatory requirements, documentation, and DOI objection responses.
- Collaborate across functions: Partner with Delivery, Specialty Product, Program Management, IT, and other teams to ensure fast, effective launches.
- Analyze & iterate: Monitor Post Launch results and work hand-in-hand with business teams to refine go-forward market strategy.
- Innovate continuously: Identify new profitable growth opportunities by researching emerging modeling techniques and testing novel variables and new data sources.
- Lead with influence: Communicate tradeoffs clearly, guide leadership toward best courses of action, and deliver on commitments.
- Broad knowledge of predictive analytic techniques and statistical diagnostics of models.
- Expert knowledge of predictive toolset; reflects as expert resource for tool development.
- Demonstrated ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely.
