As a Business Operations Senior Associate on the Business Operations & Strategy team within the Institutional group, you'll partner directly with senior leadership on Coinbase's highest-priority strategic and operational challenges. You'll work primarily with Institutional product and sales leaders, structuring complex problems, building quantitative business cases, and translating data into executive-level recommendations that shape product and segment strategy.
What you'll do:
- Structure complex, ambiguous strategic problems for Coinbase's leadership team and develop actionable recommendations backed by data and quantitative modeling.
- Build business cases and financial models that identify new opportunities and directly inform Institutional product and go-to-market strategy.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitive positioning, peer benchmarks, and the evolving crypto landscape to sharpen strategic recommendations.
- Design and implement experiments to validate hypotheses, measure impact, and drive measurable changes across Institutional products.
- Own problems end-to-end, from initial framing through analysis, recommendation, and implementation, not just the slide deck.
- Strengthen team capabilities by improving existing processes, frameworks, and operational tooling.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or product strategy, with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end strategic workstreams.
- Proven ability to build quantitative models and business cases that have directly influenced executive or leadership decisions.
- Familiarity with institutional finance, capital markets, or crypto/digital assets markets.
- Track record of delivering clear, concise written and verbal recommendations to senior stakeholders in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Exposure to SQL and BI tools (e.g., Hex, Superset, Looker) or crypto analytics tools (e.g., Dune Analytics, Etherscan) is a plus but not required.
