Department of War Education ActivityAbout the Position: This position is assigned to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy (DASD (MC&FP), Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness (USD (P&R)). This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This position may be eligible for situationalThis position drives agency innovation and delivers expert business intelligence with respect to data governance, data visualization, data analysis and management capabilities, organizational capacity, and enterprise analytics infrastructure.Lead complex data science projects.Use various methods to extract, validate, and transform raw data into useful data systems.Create algorithms and applies advanced statistical and data science techniques for quantitative analysis, statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive modeling, prescriptive analysis, and optimization; and validates analysis and outcomes.Assess data sources to determine the types of data available and how to import data into systems and models to reduce or eliminate manual reporting or processingrequirements.Develop high-performance data processing and tools to improve data quality and improve the ability to deliver superior enabled data science capabilities for the Military Community Support Programs Directorate and Military Community and Family Policy.
