Federal Aviation AdministrationThe Data Scientist serves within the Office of Financial and Labor Analysis directorate. The position acts as technical specialist, member of a team or project manager/team lead for larger work activities. The position involves analyzing, researching and studying employment levels, scheduling, and workforce planning to support financial analysis initiatives to include, Workforce Planning, Financial and Economic Modeling, Workforce Productivity and Efficiency Measurement, and Research.Performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the minimal direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. Through the use of sophisticated analytical data models, provides and consults with management to improve organizational effectiveness, efficiency and/or meet strategic objectives. The Data Scientist is responsible for developing analytical methodologies for collecting and compiling data into visual tools or reports. Develops pre-decisional reports and presentations containing sensitive or personally identifiable information (PII) data for senior executives, leadership and managers at all levels; reveals data on organizational performance, which includes key performance indicators/metrics that target organizational improvement and represents data to reach meaningful conclusions to meet DOT/FAA mission goals. Serves and/or leads efforts by providing data to support organizational change to include methods that influence the use of resources, budgets, business processes, or other modes of operation that result in

Utilizes simple and complex data mining, data cleansing and statistical analysis in the development of solutions to enhance and support the decision-making processes.
